Election Day 2012 - This time baby...

Yep. Another four years have passed. Today is the Presidential election (plus voting for other State officials, which is definitely important too). But, I think the Presidential election is a little bit more important, ya know?

Anyway, four years have passed, right? The last time/first time I voted I was 19 years old. At 19, I did not really know much about politics. Come on, I watched the Presidential debate on YouTube. There's one part of the debate that I can never forget because I thought it was so creepy and funny at the same time. It was 5 years ago, but I can still remember it! It just so happens to be about Romney. Skip towards the END of the video.

Cooper: Is there anyone here besides Senator McCain who does not own a gun? Mayor Giuliani? Governor Romney?
Romney: I have two guns in my home. They are owned by my son Josh.
Cooper: All right, there you have it.

Did you see his face? He was looking straight into the camera too. Oh man, I'll never forget that.

Anyway, four years ago I did not really know what to stand for. I did not know who I was as a person. I still kinda don't. A lot of people in my life influenced my vote last time, so I can't say that I was completely confident in the people I voted for. Today I know who I am a lot more than I did four years ago. Today, I am 23 and it is my second time voting in a Presidential election.

This time I know WHO I am voting for, and WHY I am voting for them. This time I know which party I stand for, but I do not completely stick with a particular party when I vote. Meaning, if I like a candidate who was a member of the other party MORE than the candidate who was a member of the party I support, I would vote for him/her.

This time I did not clog up the tabulator machine or cause a commotion among the entire polling place. I swear, I will never forget my first time voting because of that experience. I won't forget my second time either because I was able to put in an honest vote. My opinion, my thoughts, MY VOTE. I'm still getting older so I obviously still have a lot to learn, but as of now, I'm proud of myself and where I stand in this election. Good luck to everyone!

P.S. I don't really want to say which party I support, but if you really want to know. Here's a hint.

I totally made this.

Never mind I think I gave it away. Obama, I still think you're pretty amazing. But, I did not vote for you this time around. Thanks for following me on Twitter though. If whoever manages your Twitter sees this, I'm kinda sorry.

hmmm.
